Through the generous donations of our supporters, we give families in need the essential items they require, with the hope that this gift will also make them feel appreciated and empowered to be the best parent they can be.
The Village Co. currently collate donations, pack them into bags and distribute these bags to services who care for vulnerable and at risk perinatal women.
We provide two types of bags:
1. Welcoming Babe Bag
For women who fit our criteria in the perinatal period who will have or have their baby in their care.
2. Self Love Bag
For women who fit in our criteria in the perinatal period who will not be taking their baby home, due to miscarriage, stillbirth or removal.
Each bag contains all brand new items. Why? To pamper these women, boost their confidence and self worth.
Bags are distributed to carefully chosen services across South Australia who support and care for these types of women and families.
Currently we provide bags to:
Lyell McEwin Hospital
Women’s and Children’s Hospital
Lutheran Community Care (Outer Southern)
Helen Mayo House
The Village Co. believe all women deserve to have personal items that provide them with dignity.
If you wish to play a part in this positive and powerful change, please join them. The difference they make depends solely on the generosity of people like you.
The Village Co. is strictly not for profit – your donation will go directly to mothers in need.
The items needed: (Any brand accepted but only new items please)
The cost of one bag is approximately $150, however simply purchasing an extra item each time you do your regular food shop would add up to be such an important contribution.
